I hope everyone is enjoying your summer and taking some much needed time off. I wanted to just check in with everyone as we enter the midpoint of summer. We miss all of you and can't wait to see you soon!
Guard Camps - Outstanding job to all of our guard members for completing the guard camps over the past two weeks! I saw a TON of improvement and excitement. Great job!
Percussion Camp - Percussion camp will take place this week Mon-Fri and June 30th & July 1st 6pm-9pm. All Percussion students are required to attend. We will work with prearranged vacations as long as you communicate with us in advance. Please email or call Chandler Sedlacek with any issues. (850)686-4263 - [email protected]
Carwash Fundraiser - The annual band carwash will take place on Saturday July 19. This is a FREE carwash that we put on at 4 separate locations around Milton (Milton High School Cafeteria, Advanced Auto on Dogwood, Milton Carpet on Glover Lane, and First Apostolic Church on 90). Students will sign up for a shift and location beginning on July 8th. CLICK HERE for the pledge sheet. This is a huge fundraiser for the band. Students will need to get pledges. We will add up the total number of vehicles washed at the end of the day. Students will collect the money based off of that total number. Please read the info on the attached form. Students are required to sign up and wash. Go ahead and start getting those pledges now.
Uniform Fittings - We have scheduled two uniform fittings in July. These are for all new members as well as any member that needs a new sized uniform. Woodwinds will be July 8th 3pm and Brass/Percussion will be July 10th at 3pm. We will post custom link for bibbers and shoes. DO NOT ORDER THESE YET. Guard uniforms will be on order next week. July Rehearsals and Band Camp - We will all meet back on July 8th and 10th 6pm-9pm for rehearsal. Band Camp begins July 14th 1pm-9pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Milton Riverfest - Volunteer opportunities for the 4th of July are now listed on CutTime for everyone to sign in under the events tab to help. There are lots of different areas with descriptions of jobs so please look through all before signing up. Any questions let me know.
UDB App - All students need to go ahead and download the UDB app to their mobile devices. This is a FREE app. This is what we use to set drill at band camp. If you do not have a phone, try to get access to one. We do have a way for you to learn the drill if you cannot access a phone.
