For our incoming new folks reading this, welcome. This is the weekly update that we send out on most Sundays to keep you informed of everything going on in the MB&G. Band Banquet - Thank you to all parents and volunteers who helped set up for this event! It was an incredible evening celebrating a wonderful year with the MB&G.
New Leadership Team - Congratulations to the new 2025-26 Leadership Team. We will have our first meeting THIS WEDNESDAY at 4pm in the band room. At this meeting, we will be discussing the itinerary for the leadership camp on May 24th as well cleaning up the band room to get ready for Step-Off rehearsal on the 20th

Percussion Auditions - Auditions will be May 12th, 13, & 16th 6pm-9pm. Anyone interested in joining the percussion section must attend these clinics. Remember, it is at the directors' discretion as to availability of wind players moving to percussion. Current percussionists and incoming freshmen percussionists have priority for spots.
Step-off Rehearsal - ALL NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS: Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm-8:30, we will have our first rehearsal of the 2025-26 marching band. We are excited to welcome all of our new and returning members under one roof for the first time. Please make sure you bring your instruments. We will provide all marching instruments (bari saxes, percussion, sousaphones, euphoniums, mellophones). We will issue lockers and music during this rehearsal. Wear comfortable clothes as we will be going outside at a point during this rehearsal. Parents are welcome to stick around and listen, however, there will be very limited room in the band room that evening.
Rookie Camp - We will be holding Rookie Camp on May 27th-29th 4pm-7pm this year. All Leadership and new members are required to attend. Everyone else is welcome to participate....except our out going seniors. Yall can watch from a distance. :-)
Wind and Jazz Auditions - We have distributed all audition material for winds and jazz students for next year. We will be using Microsoft Teams for these auditions instead of Flipgrid this year because Flipgrid no longer exists. All auditions are due Saturday May 24th. School-Owned Instruments Returned - Wednesday, May 14th, all school-owned instruments MUST be returned and out of lockers by the start of the school day.
Lockers Cleaned Out - This Wednesday, May 14th, all lockers must be cleaned out. Any item left in the locker by the end of the day will be donated or thrown away.
BPA Assistant Treasurer - We will be voting on an assistant treasurer for the 2025-26 BPA Board at the May monthly meeting. Brandi Ryan Walker is the only nomination so far. If you would like to nominate someone, including yourself, please email me with the name.
Money Owed - As we enter in the final weeks of the semester, all Band/Indoor Fees MUST be paid. Please get these turned in before the end of the school year. Also, All Trip payments are due in May BEFORE we depart for Six Flags and Gatlinburg. All Fees can be paid online or in person.
Band Trip Meeting - We will have our next and final band trip meeting on Tuesday May 13th at 6pm. All participants will need to make plans to attend. There is a percussion audition clinic at during this meeting. Those students will need to make plans to have a parent attend the trip meeting.
