Hello All,
Words cannot describe how thankful we are for everyone who volunteered at the Blackwater Classic Marching Band Festival!!!! I already knew this, but Saturday proved just how awesome our students and parents are here at good ole Milton High School! We received complement upon complement about everything and every area from directors and judges along with spectators and other band students. I know I may be a little biased, but this has to be the smoothest running marching band festival that we have attended, yet alone hosted. And, to top it all off, our students had the best run of the show so far. Students, I just cannot believe what you accomplished in less than a week! I cannot wait to get back on Monday and start making this show even bigger than what it was Saturday. The video will be uploaded tomorrow. Mr. Weaver will have all of the preliminary numbers as far as sales and whatnot later this week. I can tell you this, financially, this event was a success!
Now we enter week two into competition season with the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) marching Music Performance Assessment (MPA). The itinerary is below. Please note that we will meet for rehearsal at 11am for rehearsal with lunch being provided by the BPA at the concession stand at 12:30. We will perform at Ft Walton Beach High School at 6:15. I have attached a copy of the master schedule of performances for each band at FBA. Gate entry is $8 for reserved seating and $7 general seating. If you would like to chaperone, please sign up HERE.
Friday night, we will be at Crestview High School. Due to homecoming events at CHS, we have been asked to perform at pregame at 6:30. Please note the itinerary below. We will meet at 4:30 and leave at 4:45. If you would like to chaperone, sign up HERE.
Parents, if you decide not to go to the game, you have an opportunity to help out at the Bands on Blackwater each Friday night in October. If you would like to help out, please sign up HERE.
