I hope you all had a great week getting back into the swing of things! Welcome to the FBA Spring season! Over the next few weeks, there will be different FBA events taking place. These events are Solo & Ensemble MPA on the 15th at Escambia HS, Jazz MPA on the 21st at PSC, and Concert MPA on the 7th of March at FWBHS. These dates are the most important dates for the spring semester for winds, percussion and jazz. All of these performances are FREE and we encourage audience attendance and support to each. Please see below for all events and info!
Calendar Fundraiser - It has been two months since we kicked off the calendar fundraiser. Students have a chance to earn $496+ dollars with this. You simply get folks to sponsor you on a certain day, and that person will pay you the amount of that day; i.e. January 23rd = $23, etc. All calendars and money is due THIS FRIDAY, February 7th. Band Fees - Now that the new year and second semester is upon us, it is time to make the final payments for all band and indoor fees. All accounts have been updated with the BPA incentive volunteer discount. Payments can be made online or directly to the money box. If using checks to make separate payments to various fees, please use separate checks per fee. It is imperative that all fees are paid ASAP.
Indoor Competition - This Saturday is the second Indoor competition of the season. This will take place at Robertstdale High School. We will be providing buses for all groups. Students must ride the bus over, however, they may check out with the staff using the same checkout procedures as usual. Please make sure you communicate with Chandler and/or Sam with any questions. See itineraries below. Admission for all Indoor competitions is Cash $15.00, Credit Card $18.00, Age 5 & Under Free, Age 65 & Up Free. We encourage all that can to come out and support our awesome students!
FBA S&E - FBA S&E is right around the corner. Ms. Julia will be coming in at various times to practice with those students that have her as your accompanist. Please make sure that you find time to practice all Solos and Ensembles. Students will need to organize practice sessions either before school, after school, or at homes. Please make sure you talk to me about any planned after school practices so I can plan as well. The performance schedule is posted on the doors of the locker room. Students, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ORIGINALS OF ALL MUSIC. Students will need to plane to wear proper performance attire for the performances. Parents and students are welcome to sit in on all performances. See attached FBA Solo & Ensemble schedule.
Panther Percussion at Solo & Ensemble - The Panther Percussion will be giving a performance at the Solo & Ensemble at 1:50. These students are to meet at Escambia High School at 1:15 in front of the check-in desk. We will be wearing black slacks, black button up shirts, and black shoes for this. Parents are invited to sit in and listen as well. This is a FREE performance.
Jazz MPA Schedule - See attached for full schedule of performances. This will take place on February 21st at PSC, all FREE. Here is the itinerary for that evening:

FBA Concert MPA - Attached is also the schedule of performances for the FBA Concert MPA. The Concert and Symphonic Bands both perform on Friday, March 7th at Ft. Walton Beach HS. This is a FREE concert. Please make plans now to come out and support all of these amazing students! - 12pm - All band students eat 1st lunch
