GREAT JOB MG&G!! Friday was a fun game! You sounded and looked great! Keep it up. We are almost to Bandtober!
All-State Auditions - Congratulations to all of the students that auditioned for All-State Saturday! These students worked hard and improved so much simply by putting yourselves on the line and go through this audition process. Thank you to the student workers that helped make that a success. Also, thank you to all of the parents for helping out all day with food set up and other tasks. We received many compliments about how organized everything was.
Lumpia Due - Lumpia fundraiser forms and money are due this Wednesday September 16th. The BPA will be in the Band room all day collecting money. Please make sure all forms are tallied and you have collected all money. This is all due by the end of the school day.
Tri-M Induction Ceremony - We have been working hard on putting together the Tri-M induction ceremony. This will take place at the auditorium Wednesday at 5:30pm. Please plan to wear nice clothes for this. Think Sunday's best. There will be performances given throughout as well. Parents are invited to attend as well.
Guard - This Saturday, we will go 10am-2pm so far. If this changes in any way, we will communicate ASAP. Our goal is to have work in hand and add that as well as improve what we have.
Percussion Rehearsal - There will be a percussion rehearsal this Saturday 6pm-9pm.
Show Shirts - The 2026 show shirts are now available for purchase. Congratulations to Vivica Gonzalez for the winning design. Anyone that would like to purchase a shirt can order through the following link. Shirts are $20 each. These are outside of the normal band fee. Cash or check are accepted.

Biloxi Competition - We have received our performance times for the Biloxi competition on September 26th. We will be performing twice that day. 2:20pm and 7:45pm. We will be providing a pizza lunch once we arrive. Students are currently asked to bring money to eat at concessions for dinner. Here is the tentative itinerary:
Blackwater Classic - Blackwater Classic is quickly approaching along with the rest of Bandtober. We are working on putting together a performance schedule of bands for that day. This is October 3rd. Please remember that students will need to be at the school for rehearsal and all performances. We will rehearse that morning, then watch/support all of the visiting bands. We will be performing at the end of the night right before the University of Southern Miss Marching Band I will send out an exact schedule as soon as it is available. Band Trip - The Band trip this year is currently being planned for the week of March 15-19 (the week before Spring Break). This year's destination is to our nation's capital, Washington DC. We will be busing there and back. We will be offering tours of the Smithsonian Museums, Arlington National Cemetery, and hopefully, the Capital Building. This is not a required trip. It is simply an offering for students and parents. We will be using Orchestrated Adventures as our trip planners. - 8am - Depart for Biloxi High School
- 11am- Arrive Biloxi and eat lunch
- Noon - Unload Trucks
- 1:20pm - Warm-up
- 2:20 - PERFORM
- 2:50 - Festival Awards Ceremony
- 3:30-6pm - Watch Bands/Eat Dinner
- 6:45 - Warm-up
- 7:45 - PERFORM
- 8:45 - Awards
- 9:30 - Depart for MHS
- 12:30 - Arrive MHS/Unload/Dismiss
