The MHS Concert Band
The MHS Concert Band is the intermediate instrumental ensemble at Milton High School. These students are under the direction of Mr. Bryce Coots. The concert band has developed a tradition of excellence over the past several years by continuously pushing forward and upward with their musical prowess. As members of the concert band, students can expect to play a wide variety of intermediate musical repertoire that will expand upon their knowledge of music and its inner workings. Students in this ensemble are expected to practice daily and are highly encouraged to audition for the Santa Rosa County all-county honor band as well as other honor bands throughout the area. They are also highly encouraged to participate in the FBA Solo & Ensemble MPA. Membership in the Concert band is determined by auditions at the beginning of each school year. Requirements for audition include performing three harmonically adjacent major scales and an etude selected by the directors
