The MHS Panther Band

     The Panther Band is the youngest ensemble in our program.  This up and coming group has started making a name for itself in just the first couple years of its existence.  Due to the increase in numbers of the overall band program we were fortunate enough to create a third concert ensemble.  The Panther Band has performed in the Florida Bandmasters Association solo & ensemble music performance assessment as well as the FBA concert band music performance assessment.  This ensemble helps to further develop instrumental and musical fundamentals.  Membership in the Panther band is determined by auditions at the beginning of each school year. Requirements for audition include performing three harmonically adjacent major scales and an etude selected by the directors. Any student who would like to learn a secondary instrument will be placed in this ensemble.
