Band Trip 2018 - Six Flags & The Great Smoky Mountains
The 2019 Band Trip adventure will be a fun-filled blast at Six Flags in Atlanta and then a journey through the Great Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, TN. We hope you can join us this year and enjoy this adventure with us. The button above contains all of the information about the trip you will need including itinerary and packing list. The dates of the trip are January 2nd - 7th.
Good afternoon, Band Trip Adults!!! We have 22 days of school left (5 days of which I’ll be out of town) prior to the band trip…so I’m working hard to get the band trip logistics and reservations put together. I need to know which Excursion that you’d like to participate in on Friday, January 4 while we are in the Smoky Mountains. We have four different options. You can give us your Excursion Choice by completing the following link:

Here are the options:
Excursion 1 – Free Time On Pigeon Forge Parkway – this excursion will consist of spending the day on the Pigeon Forge Parkway with shopping, dining, and attraction opportunities galore. Cost is $10 per person for your unlimited trolley ticket. You’ll need to have money for shopping, meals, and to purchase attraction tickets.
Excursion 2 – Mountain Hike – this excursion will consist of a charter bus ride to one of the trailheads in the Smoky Mountain National Park. Cost is $10 per person. After hiking, the group will go to a picnic area and enjoy a Firehouse Subs lunchbox.
Excursion 3 – Snow Skiing at OberGatlinburg – this excursion will consist of the charter buses dropping off in Gatlinburg and taking the aerial tram (which we’ll also on Sunday) up to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Park for a day of skiing. The cost is $49 per person and includes aerial tram, equipment rental, and one ski lesson. You’ll need to purchase your own lunch up at Ober Gatlinburg. Choose from three different slopes (snow may be machine-made) for an exhilarating adventure.
Excursion 4 – Private Tour of Cades Cove – this excursion will consist of a charter bus ride over to the Townsend Cultural Center where we’ll catch smaller private tour shuttle buses for a personalized trip through Cades Cove. The cost is $30 per person. Cades Cove is an old 1800’s farming community nestled in a beautiful valley. Old churches and old houses along with route will provide us with a glimpse back into the days of old. This area also usually contains lots of wildlife such as deer, bears, and turkeys. Following the tour, we’ll head back to the cultural center where we’ll enjoy a Firehouse Subs lunchbox.
The last question on the online survey is checking to see if you plan to SnowTube at Scaly Mountain when we stop on Thursday, January 3 on our way up to the Smoky Mountains. We will stop there for 2 hours prior to lunch. If you think there is even a slight chance that you’ll want to, please mark “yes”. I just need to know exactly how many people are snowtubing for contract and liability purposes.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Have a great weekend!
