Indoor Percussion - The Black Gold Percussion Ensemble kicked off the indoor competition season at Pace High School this past Saturday.  They had a wonderful performance to start the season.  This was the first of 2 in-person performances.  They will have 3 virtual performances, one of which will be recorded this Thursday.  We invite anyone and everyone to come see the Indoor Percussion this Thursday during this recording session at 7:30 in the Gym.  This is FREE to watch and will not be live-streamed.  Come one our and support our wonderful students!

Concert MPA Performances - This Saturday, March 6th, the Symphonic, Concert, and Panther Bands will be in performance.  They will be joined by Jay High School, Baker Middle School, and Baker High School bands.  This is a FREE concert in the gym.  See performance schedule below.  The BPA will also be selling concessions during this event.  We ask that everyone please be mindful of the performances.  If you have to leave the gym for any reason, please do so AFTER a band performs.  You will not be allowed to enter until the band has completed their performance.  The adjudicators will also be giving live feedback after each performance to the bands.  We ask that you stay as quiet as possible so that band will be.  IF you would like to learn more about concert etiquette, we encourage you to watch this short video created by 2 of our alumni.  Just CLICK HERE.  We will also be live-streaming the entire concert.  You can access the live stream by CLICKING HERE.

Help Needed at Concert - We are in need of parent help throughout the concert.  We need a couple parents to help watch the door at the entrance to the gym from the lobby to keep people from entering during the performances.  There are 4 spots from 12:30-5:30 available.  You can CLICK HERE to sign up.  Also, the BPA is in need of help at the concession trailer to help cook and sell during the concert.  Please sign up by CLICKING HERE.

Colorguard Solo and Ensemble - On Monday, March 8th, the Colorguard will be giving evaluated solo and ensemble performances. These will be held in the auditorium beginning at 5:30pm.  This another FREE event.  All are invited to attend with the same concert etiquette requests.  We will also be liv-streaming this event which can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

The Mighty Black & Gold will be on display in to upcoming events in March.  All are invited to both of these FREE performances to watch our students show off just for you!

First, the Symphonic, Concert, and Panther Bands will be hosting a music performance assessment (MPA) style concert on March 6th beginning tentatively at 12:30pm in the MHS Gym.  Hobbs MS, Jay HS, and Baker School will also be performing in between the Milton groups.  Each ensemble will perform three pieces for everyone, while being evaluated by three judges.  After each performance, a judge will give live feedback to each band.  This is similar in most ways to the normal FBA sponsored Concert MPA.  All Milton Bands are required to stay for the entirety of the event as we will be providing an audience as well as finally listening to bands outside of our school.  This is FREE of course and all safety guidelines must be adhered to.  The BPA will also be selling concessions during this event.  We will also Live stream this event by CLICKING HERE

Next, the MB&G Colorguard will be hosting a guard Solo and Ensemble assessed performance on Monday, March 8th beginning at 5pm in the MHS Auditorium.  Each student will perform one solo that they have prepared individually followed by small ensemble performances prepared by the students.  These performances will be evaluated by a guest adjudicator.  We will also livestream this event.  A link will be provided at a later date.  All are welcome to attend and all guidelines must be adhered to.

We hope you can find time to come see all of our amazing students and their hard work!
