Here are this week's happenings in the MB&G Band.

Guard Solos and Ensembles - This Tuesday, our Colorguard will be in performance as the give their individual solo performances as well as their ensemble performances.  These will be evaluated by a professional guest adjudicator based on Florida Bandmasters Association and GCGPC standards.  Everyone is invited to come out and support these wonderful students in the MHS Auditorium 5:30pm-8pm.  See the performance schedule below.  We will also livestream these performances on our YouTube page which can be accessed by CLICKING HERE.

BPA Board Nominations - Do you want to take a more active role in supporting the students of the MB&G?  The why not run for one of the positions on the Band Parent Association Board?  Here is your chance to help out in extraordinary ways.  The BPA is accepting nominations for the 2021-22 BPA Board.  This board will begin duties in June of this year.  All of the information you need can be found at the following link along with the nominations form.  We will take nominations right up until the vote at the April Monthly BPA Meeting on Tuesday , April 13th. Welcome back from Spring Break for real this time! I hope all of you have had a restful break and are ready get back at everything.  Believe it or not, we only have 3 months left of school.  Here are this week's happenings from the MB&G Band.

All-County Auditions - You can CLICK HERE to access all of the info pertaining to All-County.  Remember, this is not required this year by any bands, however, it is encouraged.  These auditions will also be utilizing Flipgrid just like the Milton Band auditions this summer.  That information is also included in the link above.  If you have any questions, please see us.  Auditions are due by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 24th.  

BPA Senior Band Trip - This Tuesday, the $200 deposit is due.  Angie Perry will be here to collect all money and begin the ticket ordering process.  Cash/Checks/Credit are acceptable.  Checks made payable to MHSBPA.  If paying with a credit card, you will need to meet with Angie and Jennifer at the band room at 5:30.  All senior band students that are interested in the BPA sponsored trip will need to make sure you contact Jennifer Heuer or Angie Perry for any questions.  Their contact info is:

Guard Rehearsals - All guard members please take note that we have added Thursday rehearsals 5:30-7:30 for the remainder of the year.  You will still meet on Mondays as well.

Guard Solo & Ensemble - We encourage everyone to come out and watch our guard perform their individual solos and ensembles in the auditorium on Tuesday, March 30th beginning at 5:30-8:45.  Our members will be evaluated by a judge and be given feedback after the event.  We will also live-stream these performances.  We will post a more definite schedule of performances this week.  Come out and show your support for these wonderful students.

Hello All,

One word.....WOW!!! There are no words to accurately convey the since of pride and joy that we have for all of our wonderful students for their performances in the gym and/or at home this past Saturday.  All of our groups did outstanding! We will be going over judge comments and ratings in class on Monday.  Thank you to the BPA and everyone involved with making this MPA performance a success.  If you missed the concerts, you can view it on our YouTube page by CLICKING HERE.

Indoor Percussion Performance - This Thursday the Black Gold Percussion will be giving another performance/recording for the next virtual competition.  All are invited and welcome to attend.  Our students would love to perform for a crowd!

Guard Solo & Ensemble - We have decided to move the Colorguard solo & ensemble performance to March 30th.  This will allow all of our students to have more time to clean and refine their routines.  We encourage everyone to come out on that date support these wonderful students.

Senior Meeting - We are asking all band seniors to stick around after school on Tuesday at 3:30 for a quick meeting if at all possible.  We do understand that this was scheduled quickly and there may be schedule conflicts.  We will work as best we can with these.  

BPA Monthly Meeting - This Tuesday at 7pm, we will be holding the BPA Monthly meeting in the band room.  We encourage all to attend either in person or virtually using the link below.  We will be going over lots of wonderful things that have been happening with the band and the BPA
