I know I cannot wait to see everyone again and hear all of the stories!! First, I want to say thank you to all of our students and parents for an amazing cruise experience during our band trip! Hello,
I want to begin by saying good job to all of our groups that performed this weekend. The symphonic, concert and panther bands closed out the MPA season Thursday night with 3 great performances to a fantastic audience and a tough judging panel. Congratulations to the Symphonic band for earning straight Superiors and as well to the Panther Band for earning straight excellents for the first time in that band's history. I am very proud of the performance that I heard from the Concert Band on stage. I know the judges apparently heard something else, but in the end, we know the journey that we had to get to that performance and they do not. The JV and Varsity Winterguards also performed well at the Pace HS Indoor Show on Saturday with both groups giving strong performances. The Varsity won first place and gained 8 points from their previous performance. The JV Guard gained almost 20 points from their last performance. Great job to all. This Tuesday is the final trip meeting. We will begin with the students at 4pm and then conclude with everyone going on the trip at 6pm. Please make all efforts to be there as we will be going over last minute info and checking students in. Please bring the student's birth certificate or passport to this meeting. These items will be kept safe in our school safe. Also, you need to decide which of these you will use to board the boat next Thursday. We will be helping students create their Carnival accounts during band classes throughout the week as well. Can you believe that we will be departing next Thursday?? This Thursday is Firehouse Subs Night. Please come on out and have a great dinner and put your receipt in the box at the cash register. The band will receive a percentage back for every receipt in the box. That is all for now. I hope everyone has a great week.
