Well the first week of school has come and gone. I hope everyone had a chance to breath and relax this weekend. Soon everything will become routine for the season. Below is the schedule for the week. Please noticed the change in rehearsal time for Thursday for the marching band. We will be going from 4pm - 6:30pm every thursday until the end of October. Here's to week number 2 of the school year:
Monday - Jazz Band chair auditions - during class - Full Marching Band Rehearsal - 6pm - 9:30pm Tuesday - Jazz Band chair auditions - during class - Jazz Band stand designs due - Marching Band T-shirt designs due - Cup fundraiser orders due - Full Marching Band Rehearsal - 6pm - 9:30pm Wednesday - Jazz Band chair auditions - during class - Bring Concert Instruments to school Thursday - Possible Jazz Band chair auditions - during class - Full Marching Band Rehearsal - 4pm - 6:30 Friday - Home Football Game vs Washington - 6pm - Call Time - 7pm - Pre-game - 7:30 - Kick-off ~ 10pm - March-out Together We Are The Mighty Black & Gold!!   The sound of a yellow bus is heard in the distance traversing the roads of a neighborhood. A gathering of people is taking place on benches and around the buildings. You hear the screeching of brakes as the school zone flashers suddenly become active again. At that moment you realize, IT"S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!
Well indeed it is back to the old grind for the 2015-16 school year. I would say I hope you enjoyed having nothing to do this summer, but we all know that we were definitely active! I know you are looking forward to meeting your other teachers and we are looking forward to seeing your bright and shiny faces again. Just a note to Jazz band and anyone in Mr. or Mrs. Weaver's 4th period class, you have 1st lunch this year so make sure after 3rd period, you go straight to lunch. Everyone else will know their lunch assignment 1st period. Here is the schedule for the week: Monday - First Day of School (NO REHEARSAL) Tuesday - Full Band Rehearsal 6pm - 9:30pm Thursday - W.S. Neal vs Milton at home - 5:30pm - Call time/uniform check - 6:15ish - March-in - 7pm - kick-off - 11pmish - Dismiss - There are still plenty of spots left for this game if you would like to volunteer either at the concession stand or chaperoning. That is all for now. Together We Are The Mighty Black & Gold Well I don't know about you but that sure seemed like a very short week off! That's okay though, we are looking so forward to seeing everyone again. There are several events this week. In fact we are now kicking off the routine rehearsals for the semester. Here is the schedule for the week:
Monday -full band rehearsal 6pm-9:30 Tuesday -full band rehearsal 6pm-9:30 -MHSBPA meeting 7pm -2nd chaperone meeting for those that missed the first one will follow the BPA meeting Thursday -full band rehearsal 6pm-9:30 Friday - 1st uniform payment due ($75) I really can't wait to see everyone back together again!! Let's all enjoy this last week before school starts. Also, we did get part 2 of the show so look forward to reading that tomorrow! Together we are the Mighty Black & Gold! |
