Well we have come to the final week of the semester. Yes, you heard me right! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by so far.  Kudos to all the students for an outstanding concert this past Thursday! All groups really out did themselves this year and I am extremely proud of all of you for your hard work that went into making that concert a success! I am still in the process of uploading the video to YouTube and hope to have it available ASAP.


There isn't a whole lot going on this week other than a few rehearsals, jazz band performances, and exams.

Greetings to all,

Only 2 more weeks until the Christmas break believe-it-or-not! This week will be yet another busy busy week for us with rehearsals, concerts, meetings, and a celebration of this semester's accomplishments at the Christmas party at the end of the week.  

First, here is some info about the Christmas concert this Thursday.  This concert will take place at the MHS Auditorium at 6:30 pm.  Call time for all students is 6:00 pm in CONCERT BLACK UNIFORM. That means bibbers, jacket with sash, marching shoes, and black socks.  Students may wear a Christmas hat if you choose.  This concert will feature the Panther Band, BOTH Jazz Bands, the Concert Band, and the Symphonic Band.  It is a FREE concert so please invite everyone you know to come out and ring in the holiday season with some great music. It shouldn't be more than an hour and a half long. Come out and see the hard work of our students on display!

Secondly, the band Christmas party will be this Friday, the day after the Christmas concert.  It is open to all band students.  We will begin at around 3:45 pm in the band room with food and fellowship.  Food and drinks will be provided until further notice.  From 4:45 - 6:45, we will commence with a movie in the band room and the annual kickball tournament on the softball field.  At 6:45, we will have a secret santa gift exchange.  If students wish to participate in secret santa, they must provide a gift ranging from $5 to $20. I will take these gifts up on Friday throughout the day.  This part can be pretty funny at times LOL!  

Finally, the band parent Christmas Party will be on Saturday at Camelot Junction.  Kelly Henrichsen will provide further information about this later in the week or you can come to the booster meeting on Tuesday Night at 7pm to get information.
