Good morning! I’d like to take this opportunity to invite each of you to the Spring Concert Showcase of the Milton High School Mighty Black & Gold Band Program. It will begin this Friday, April 24th at 6:30 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission is free.
The program order will be: MHS Panther Band Low Brass Quartet MHS Concert Band Flute Duet MHS Symphonic Band Horn Quartet MHS Jazz Band 10-Minute Intermission Black Gold Drumline Mighty Black & Gold Marching Band in surround sound 10-Minute Transition to MHS Gymnasium MHS Indoor Colorguard MHS Indoor Percussion Ensemble Mighty Black & Gold Marching Band The showcase will last about 2 ½ hours and will feature all of our performing ensembles. Come out for a great evening of music featuring some of Milton High School’s most talented musicians. Hello to all! Well this week is finally upon us. This is the week of our Spring Concert Showcase and, what a busy week it will be! I encourage everyone to tell all that you know about the concert at 6:30pm this Friday at the MHS Auditorium. ALL of our ensembles will be in performance. The program order is Panther Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band all in the auditorium. Then we will go over to the gym to watch the indoor winterguard and Black Gold Percussion Ensemble. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!
Schedule for the week: Monday: - Concert Band Rehearsal 3:45 - 6pm - Field Guard Audition Clinic 6pm - 8:30 Tuesday: - Symphonic Band Rehearsal 4pm - 6pm Wednesday: - Jazz Band Rehearsal 3:45 - 5pm Thursday: - Marching Band Rehearsal (minus Colorguard) 3:45 - 5pm - Panther Band Rehearsal 5pm - 6pm - Winterguard Rehearsal 4:30 - 6pm - Indoor Percussion 6pm - 8pm Friday: - MHS SPRING CONCERT SHOWCASE 6:30pm - 6pm - Call time for students Here's to a busy week in the Mighty Black & Gold!  We have had to make the unfortunate call to cancel the crawfish festival. The weather just doesn't look like it is going to cooperate this Saturday. The good news is that we are ready to go for next year!!
So this week begins another round of several busy weeks in a row for the Mighty Black & Gold Band. There are lots of events coming up that you definitely DO NOT want to miss out on!
Monday: - All Gauntlets Need to be returned to school. Please attach your name and instrument to your gauntlets. This marks the first round of uniform returns for the end of the year. In may, after 8th grade band day, all gauntlets, jackets, and sashes will be returned along with any other borrowed uniform part so start looking for these now. - Concert Band Rehearsal 3:45 - 6pm - Colorguard weapons sections 6pm - 8pm Tuesday: - All Gauntlets Need to be returned to school. Please attach your name and instrument to your gauntlets. - Symphonic Band Rehearsal 4pm - 6pm - Crawfish Festival Committee Meeting 6pm -Band Parent Association Meeting 7pm - We will be voting for a new board at this meeting as well as talking about several extremely important dates and events at this meeting. IF YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS MEETING, PARENTS, YOU WILL MISS OUT ON IMPORTANT INFO!!! (YOU AS A BAND PARENT ARE AUTOMATICALLY A MEMBER OF THIS!!!!) Thursday: - Panther Band Rehearsal 4pm - 6pm Friday: - 4th Trip Payment Due - $100. You should have a total of $375 deposited toward the trip - Scratch Ankle Festival - Sign-up on the Charms calendar to volunteer to help - Crawfish Festival set-up 5pm Saturday: - Crawfish Festival 10am - 9pm.
