Uniform Funds Drive - WE NEED YOUR HELP! We kicked off our uniform drive last week and we are on a roll, but we can do better! Please spread the following link to everyone you know! https://verticalraise.com/fundraiser/milton-hs-band-uniform-fundraiser/c/632534/ As of this email, we are sitting at $7,866 with only 17 days left to get to $30,000. I you yourself do not have the means to donate to our drive, please send this to everyone on your contact. We are casting a wide net with this and that is the only way we will meet our goal. I have received only a few questions from inidividuals saying that some people they have sent it to are weary of online donations. Please let your folks know that this is the real deal and they can put their minds at ease. Keep it up!
RADA Fundraiser - We also kicked off the RADA fundraiser last week. This is for individual band fees/indoor fees/trip fees. With this, I also set up an online ordering ability for each student. If you would like to utilize that link, please let me know and I can send it to you. These are due on Wednesday, February 8th.
Band Trip - I have ordered all Disney tickets for the band trip and will be ordering the Universal tickets this week. There is only one final payment left at the end of February to have the trip paid in full. Please make sure you have all accounts up to date by then. We will be signing up for rooms and buses this week. Also, we have a final trip meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21st at 7pm. Please mak plans to attend. We have also scheduled a student trip marching band rehearsal on Monday, March 6th to practice the parade. All students attending the trip are required to attend.
Next Year's Band Trip - I have also initiated the planning for next year's band trip. This trip will be in March of 2024 so far with destination to Washington DC and New York City! :-) I cannot answer any questions at this time about the trip. I only mention it so you can start planning financially. Also, any extra funds you raise in your band accounts will carry over into next year. Of course, we will have band fees for next year to pay as well.
All-County - Congratulations to all students who participated in the SRC All-County Honor Band this past week. You gave a wonderful performance and represented MHS well! We are very proud of all of you!
FBA - FBA Season is just around the corner. We should be receiving schedules for each very soon. As soon as we get them, we will post each and have itineraries ready.
Meat Sticking - We have a required meat sticking on Monday. Make sure all students make plans to attend. We also welcome any parents that would like to help out as well. We will begin at 1:30.
Rehearsal Visitors - Over the next several weeks, we will have various visitors with us to listen to Concert and Symphonic bands, both during and after school. It is imparitive that all students are in class and at all rehearsals so we can take advantage of these master band directors, both current and retired.
