 Just spreading the word on a great opportunity to see a Drum Corp International (DCI) show live but not in person. There will be a showing of one of the DCI competitions at the Carmike Theater on Bayou Blvd in Pensacola at 7:30 this Wednesday. Tickets are $15. Click HERE to get a copy of the pledge sheet for the car wash-a-thon the band will be hosting around the Milton area on Saturday, July 11th. There will be 6 locations around Milton. The Locations are:
(1) Circle K at Hwy 90 & Ward Basin Rd (2) Milton High School on Stewart Street (3) Advanced Auto Parts on Dogwood Drive (4) Whiting Furniture on Hwy. 90 (5) Christian Life Church on Avalon Blvd (6) Signcrafters on Hwy 90 in Pea Ridge The car wash is one of the biggest fundraisers we have and is attendance is required. Past students have been able to pay band fair share fees in full from this one fundraiser. The more pledges you get, the more money you make. Our gola is to wash as many cars as possible. If you don't get pledges, you are washing cars for free....and that's no fun. All the info you will need is at the top of the pledge sheet. See you in July! I want to make it very clear that ALL students on this list ARE members of the marching band with the exception of a few that are doing concert instruments only! We have three concert bands in which the students are placed for the school year. The top band is Symphonic band, then Concert band, then Panther.band. You will see the bands notated on the list. We are very pleased with each and every one of you and look forward to hearing some great things from the marching band as well as the three concert bands. Thank you and we look forward to seeing all of you in July! Guard and percussion and drum majors, have fun at your camps! Rookies, Mr. Weaver and I are extremely proud of your hard work this week! Let's keep this momentum going throughout the year! Together We Are The Mighty Black & Gold!!  Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the newest members of the Milton High School Mighty Black & Gold Marching Band!! After a hot and grueling rookie camp, you made it through. It's gonna be a great year!!
Tomorrow, Thursday, we will be fitting all new wind and percussion members for uniforms. We will begin fittings at around 3pm and finish by 5pm. If any returning members would like to get resized for a new uniform or would like to order new uniform parts including polo shirts or anything else, please come to the fitting and put your name down for that or those parts. Again, this is only for wind and percussion. Colorguard will have a separate uniform fitting date.
