Band Day - On Tuesday May 6th, we will welcome all of our potential new members of the MB&G. Students will need to wear summer uniforms (Band shirt and blue jeans). All students will need to report to the band room at 1:30 to grab your marching and concert instruments then go to the auditorium. We will practice what we can before the new students arrive. Band day will officially kickoff at 3pm. Pizza and drinks will be served around 4:30ish over at the band room. We should be wrapping up the event around 6:30.
Freezer Mural - We are looking for students who are good at drawing and love Art and Designing things. The BPA will be painting our walk in freezer/cooler this summer getting ready for next years marching season. We are looking to paint a giant Mural on the back side of the freezer facing Byrom Street for all to see. We thought it would be nice to feature a piece of artwork from a band student. We are asking for any interested student to submit a piece of artwork related to The Mighty Black and Gold Band and our famous Shish Kabobs. All artwork will then be posted and be voted on by the students. The winner will be announced at the Spring Concert on May 2nd and their artwork will then be painted onto the freezer. If you are interested in participating, please submit your artwork to Mr. Schultz or Mr. Coots by Friday April 18th. They will be posted in the band room and voted on by students April 21st – April 30th. Good luck!!
