Hello All,

PLEASE PAY ALL FAIR SHARES IN NOW!!!!!!!!

Welcome back from Spring Break! It is so good to be back with everyone once again.  I hope you enjoyed your rest and are ready to go for the remainder of the year.  We are in the home stretch! But, as we all know, that doesn't mean things are gonna slow down, in fact it is the exact opposite.  As Samuel L. Jackson said in Jurassic Park, "Hold on to your butts"

With us being so close to the end of the year, it is imperative that all fair shares are paid in full!! SEVERAL of you are behind and owe quite a bit of your fair shares.  Currently, the band is $43,000 in the negative in regards to fair shares.  This includes the indoor groups as well.  If this is not paid, we will have to deny the continuation of certain things.  This WILL NOT simply go away.  PLEASE PAY ALL FAIR SHARES IN NOW!!!!!!!!

The indoor groups finished the season strong this past Saturday at the GCGPC Circuit Championship with the winterguard earning 5th out 12 and the percussion earning 3rd out of 4.  Great job to these students!

The Beats and Eats Music Festival is in 2 weeks and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! Parents, there are PLENTY of areas that we need your help in volunteering! THIS EVENT CANNOT HAPPEN WITHOUT YOU!! This is a Band Parent Association event and all of you are part of this with your child being in the band.  I hope you can show your support for your child by helping the organization that directly helps them.  Please CLICK HERE to sign up.  We also are in need of items in the hospitality room for this event.  you can CLICK HERE and sign-up for something to bring.  More information about the festival will be discussed at the monthly BPA meeting next Tuesday, April 9th.  If you miss that meeting, you will miss the information, so please plan to be there.  

Speaking of the BPA meeting, we will be voting on the new board for next year at the April BPA meeting.  If you would like to run for a position and/or would like to have a vote in this, you MUST be at this meeting next Tuesday.  We will take last minute nominations from the floor at the beginning of the meeting, then we will vote.  You must be in attendance to vote!

Finally, the Jazz concert that was originally scheduled this Friday the 5th at the Imogene has been moved to Friday, April 26th at 6:30.  Tickets are $5 with concessions available during the concert.  You don't wanna miss the exciting things in store on the 26th!!

MPA season is finally over! All three of our concert bands had wonderful performances last Thursday at FWBHS.  The Panther Band earned an overall good rating, the Concert Band earned and overall excellent, and the Symphonic Band earned an overall superior.  If you missed these performances, you can go to our website and download the professional recordings on each ensembles page.  Just CLICK HERE.

Now we are moving into everything spring where we get ready for the spring concert, band banquet, and setting up for next year.  Things are going to get busy really quick as soon as we get back from Spring Break. There will be lots of volunteer opportunities for parents to take advantage of including the mud races this Saturday.  You can sign-up by clicking the link below in the schedule.  

The next big event is the Black and Gold Beats and Eats Music Festival.  We will be posting volunteer sign-ups for parents on charms.  Students will sign-up separately from this in the band room.  We still have plenty of openings for vendors.  We need your help to get the word out.  anyone interested can just CLICK HERE.

Finally, this will be the last weekly update until after Spring Break.  I hope all of you stay safe and get plenty of well-deserved rest! Remember when we return on Tuesday the 26th, the Jazz Band and the Marching Band will be in performance for the 8th grade showcase.  This is NOT 8th grade band day.  We will give you more details soon.

Welcome to the most important week of concert season.  This Thursday the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Panther Band will all be in performance at Ft. Walton Beach HS for the FBA Concert Music Performance Assessment.  This is also the last week of after school rehearsals for this performance and before Spring Break.  Students, please make sure you attend the rehearsals as well as the performance.  The itinerary is below.  Parents, if you would like to help chaperone, please sign up by clicking HERE.
