Hello Everyone,
We are getting near the end of the 2015-16 school year. Can you believe it!? Before I talk about everything coming up, I want to congratulate the Symphonic Band on earning an overall SUPERIOR rating at the Florida Bandmasters Association State Concert Music Performance Assessment this past Friday! This was only the second time in 23 years that Milton has performed at this and on top of that, this is also the second time that Milton earned a superior rating. These students worked extremely hard all semester with Mr. Weaver to earn this rating. Bravo students! Job Well-Done! The recording of this performance should be on our YouTube page sometime this week.
Speaking of this week, I highly encourage you to come out and enjoy our 2016 Spring Concert Extravaganza. This concert will start in the MHS Auditorium at 6:30pm and end in the gym. All of our groups, including the marching band, will be on display. This is the culmination of this semester and this looks to be the best concert yet! It is totally free of charge. Please get the word out and invite everyone you can think of. Doors should be open by 5:30pm.
The Band Banquet is just around the corner on May 21st. We will start selling tickets soon. If your fees are paid in full, your ticket is free otherwise they will be $12-$15. We will give an exact price when tickets go on sale. The banquet will be held in the MHS Gym once again with a dinner and awards at 6pm and a dance afterwards. You must have a ticket in order to have a seat at the band banquet this year!
With the end of the year upon us, it is imperative that all fees are paid in full before the end of the school year. Please check your charms account and verify ASAP. We do accept online payments or you can still pay in cash or check.
