HAPPY NEW YEAR & WELCOME BACK!!! I hope everyone's break was restful and exciting. I can't wait to hear stories tomorrow when we return. Time to get 2018 under way.
We will hit the ground running for the semester beginning Monday! This second semester is jam packed full of exciting events. Make sure you keep watch of the calendar very carefully.

April 7th - Indoor Circuit Championships @ Univ of South Al
April 8th - Jazz Band Performance at Pensacola Jazz Fest
April 14th - Jazz Concert
April 21st - Crawfish Festival
May 4th - Spring Concert
May 12th - Band Banquet
May 29th - Graduation
Of course, there are many rehearsals and such that are in between all of these dates as well.
Students, everyone WILL need instruments and music this week. Most bands will be reading new music. For the 3 concert bands, please be aware that after school rehearsals will begin after All-County is over beginning January 22nd.
Indoor folks, the first performances are quickly approaching. For those of you that would like to know the order of performances for each show in advance, just CLICK HERE for all indoor schedules for each show. You do NOT have to create an account to see these . the event list is on the right hand side of the page.
Parents, please be aware that the BPA monthly meeting has been moved to next week instead of this week. We will probably be meeting in the chorus room on the 16th.
Final thought: with this new year comes new goals and expectations. Let's all make sure we continue to push ourselves musically as well as academically. Let's hold each other accountable with everything. I encourage you to set personal goals and have people keep you in check to reach those goals. In the end, the new year will be what you make it so let's all try and make this the best 2018 we can :-)
