Hello All,
Meat Sticking - We will be holding our first meat sticking of the year during the scheduled marching band rehearsal this Tuesday. For all of the new folks, these meat stickings are where we put together our world famous shish-ka-bobs that are sold at football games and BPA events all over the area. It is the sell of these ka-bobs that allow the BPA to help sustain the band with various items like new instruments, band trucks, uniforms, etc. Students do receive volunteer hours for these meat stickings. Parents are welcome to attend, however, any volunteer must be school board approved. This will be in the cafeteria and we will be making modifications with how we normally hold these. BPA Freezer - Last week, our freezer that we use to store the shish-ka-bobs among other things went down. We have received estimates, but the repairs are very costly. This freezer is VITAL to us as it allows us to store the shish-ka-bobs and the other concession stand items. Without the freezer, our tradition is in jeopardy. We have decided to ask our amazing community for help. We all know times are tough, but hoping with community support, we can continue this tradition. All funds raised will be used to purchase a new freezer. Please CLICK HERE to help contribute to the GoFundMe account that has been set up for this.
Shirts - Speaking of shirts, we still have quite a few students who have not picked up their shirts because of not having the $12 paid towards their fare shares. Please make sure you get this in now. We will be wearing these shirts at all performances for the time being along with blue jeans/blue jean shorts. You can CLICK HERE for more info to get this money turned in.
Please not that Pep Band A, all Guard, and all Percussion will kickoff the football season performances next Thursday, September 24th. Call time will be 4:15 so far. Uniform will be the new black band shirts and blue jeans.
