This week in the Mighty Black & Gold

Hello all!

Another week gone and another week begins. Can you believe we are already at the midpoint in the first 9 weeks of the school year?! We are about to start the busiest time of the whole marching season.  It's also going to seem like the shortest time of the whole season because of how fast its gonna go.  Just strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.  We're gonna take this Delorean Back to the Future at 85 mph! See what I did there :-)

We have had to reschedule the group/section pictures that we were going to take this week due to the college fair on Tuesday to Monday, September 21st 6pm-7pm.  Seniors will need to attend the 6pm-7pm time slot for the college fair on Tuesday night.  Please make note that we have changed the rehearsal start time to 7pm Tuesday night to accommodate this important event.  Once again, SENIORS NEED TO ATTEND THE 6PM-7PM TIME SLOT FOR THE COLLEGE FAIR.


We also have a meat sticking for all students on Wednesday from 1pm-5pm.  We have a few large meat stickings like this throughout the year and they are definitely a necessity! French Horns are exempt from this one because they won the section wars during the summer.

Thursday:

• 4pm - 6:30pm - Full Marching Band Rehearsal

         - BRING HELMETS TO REHEARSAL
         - Rookie helmets to be distributed before rehearsal


Friday:

• Game vs Catholic HS

         - 5:30pm - Meet and Depart for CHS
         - 6:45 - Arrive CHS
         - 7:30 - Kick-off
         - 11pm - 11:30pm Arrive back at MHS
