Storm - I hope all of you have stayed safe through this event! We will have so many stories to tell each other when we return along with so many lessons. The biggest lesson of all is how much we are all here for each other no matter what the circumstance. I hope that you have seen the kindness of strangers around you and made new bonds through this time. If any of you are in need of anything, please let us know and we will help you. 2020 keeps throwing us obstacles, but any obstacle can be moved. So lets move this one aside, help each other out, and continue to press onward together! Because together We Are THE MIGHTY BLACK & GOLD!
Game this Thursday - So far, the Freshmen/JV game for this Thursday is still a go. The full itinerary is listed below. Please understand that with this being our first of the Freshmen/JV games in which we have performed, the JV portion start time as well as the final dismissal time are approximations. The call time and 9th grade kickoff time are absolutes. Options for dinner that night:
1. Eat quickly before the call time
2. Bring money for concessions in between games
3. Eat after the game
Also, please make sure you BRING YOUR OWN WATER THERMOS! We will wear the new band T-Shirts, Blue Jeans/Blue Jean Shorts, & Tennis Shoes.
Shirts - We still have quite a few students who have not picked up their shirts because of not having the $12 paid towards their fare shares. Please make sure you get this in now. We will be wearing these shirts at all performances for the time being along with blue jeans/blue jean shorts. You can CLICK HERE for more info to get this money turned in.
BPA Freezer - Last week, our freezer that we use to store the shish-ka-bobs among other things went down. We have received estimates, but the repairs are very costly. This freezer is VITAL to us as it allows us to store the shish-ka-bobs and the other concession stand items. Without the freezer, our tradition is in jeopardy. We have decided to ask our amazing community for help. We all know times are tough, but hoping with community support, we can continue this tradition. All funds raised will be used to purchase a new freezer. Please CLICK HERE to help contribute to the GoFundMe account that has been set up for this.
That is all for now. I hope all of you have a wonderful week!
