Hello All,
We are slowly getting busier and busier with the Mighty Black & Gold as we get further into the school year. We will be adding more and varied rehearsals after this week to include the 3 concert bands after All-County is finished.
This Friday is the Santa Rosa County All-County Concert at 7pm in the MHS Auditorium. All are invited to come out and watch these students as they will be under the direction of recent FBA Hall of Fame inductee, Joe Hooten. The Middle School will perform first immediately followed by the High School. I can tell you that this concert will be one you do not want to miss! It is free as well.
We are close to the first competition for the indoor percussion and indoor guard. Next Saturday, February 2nd will be the first show of the year hosted at Tate HS. If you would like to keep up with the show schedule week-by-week as well as scores and recaps from previous shows, you can go to the GCGPC website by clicking HERE. You do not have to be a memmber of GCGPC to view these events and you do not have to sign up for any kind of membership.
Finally, we are in desperate need of fair share payments!! At this point, all but $50 should be paid in your fair share accounts. We are still needing to pay bills for goods and services given to students for marching season that we have NO money to pay with. Please make all efforts to get all fair shares up to date. This includes indoor percussion and colorguard as well. We will be forced to cancel performances and competitions if we do not have the money to pay for them. Again, please make all efforts to get fair shares up to date.
