Hello All,
Here is everything for this week so far.
School Schedule this Week - This week, the first of the new testing will commence during school. Because of this, the schedule for classes has been modified. We will still have a full day of school for both days. Students will meet with their 1st, 3rd, and 5th periods on Tuesday and 2nd, 4th, & 6th period classes on Wednesday. These are not half days.
Show Shirts - These are due on Tuesday by the end of school. We will post these on Wednesday for students to vote on until Friday.
Bus Sign-ups - We will post bus sign-ups this week. Students will sign up on one of four buses throughout each day. We will do this by seniority; Leadership & Seniors Tuesday, Juniors Wednesday, Sophomores Thursday, Freshmen Friday.
BPA Concessions - Parents, the BPA needs your help with concessions during the game this week. Please CLICK HERE to sign up. This is an awesome group to work with and you will have a blast while supporting our students!
Chaperone for Game - Parents, we also need help chaperoning for the game this week. We will have more students with us since we will be welcoming our folks from King MS. Please CLICK HERE to sign-up.
Game this week - This week we will have the next home game on Friday so far. This will be the last home game until homecoming the last week of September. We will also play host to our future MB&G family members from up the road, King MS. Please note the 5:30 call time for Friday.
BPA Meal - The BPA will be serving food again to any band student that wants to use them this week before the game 3:30-5pm. This week's menu is spaghetti with or without meat, garlic bread, salad, meatballs in chili sauce, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, chips, and drinks. We encourage all students to eat with the BPA.
All-State - All-State auditions are only 2 weeks away on Saturday, September 17th. These are hosted at Milton HS in the main building. I have already signed and paid for all students that have spoken with me to audition. We will receive a schedule from FBA soon. I will be posting a sign up for student workers for that day. Students will receive volunteer hours for working.
Change of competition in October - Earlier last week I received an email from the director at Choctaw HS explaining that they are having to cancel their competition that was to be hosted on Saturday, October 29th. We talked with students about this on Friday last week. We traditionally try to participate in marching band competitions/festivals a year in order to have an enriching experience for the season. There are no other competitions that we have found in the immediate area on that weekend. Because of this, we have signed up for the Tiger Invitational at Pensacola HS on Saturday, October 22nd. More info about this will be given as soon as we have a schedule.
