HAPP EASTER to all! I hope this day has brought you some joy and rest and maybe even some family time. Here are this week's happenings in the MB&G.
Jazz Band - This Saturday, the Blackwater Beats Jazz Band will be on tour to a couple of our assisted living homes in the area. We will be spreading the joy and comfort of music. The details are below. Please make sure you read this over carefully. These performances are not open to the public. Students will need to secure their own ride.
All-County Band - We will be posting the All-County Band results this week. Thank you to all of our students that auditioned! For those students that do make the band, please note that the rehearsals will be next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the MHS Band Hall with the performance Saturday afternoon in the MHS Gym.
Instrument Inventory - The county inventory is coming up on Wednesday, April 14th. ALL SCHOOL-OWNED INSTURMENTS AND EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED ON TUESDAY, APRIL 13TH. Any student that was issued an instrument and fails to return that instrument will be responsible for compensating the MHS band for that instrument.
Solo And Ensemble/Percussion Ensemble - Students who signed up for the FBA S&E, please take note that the recording session will take place beginning at 4pm on Monday the 12th. Remember, we are having these professionally recorded. Also, the percussion students will be recording and performing and recording on this day as well. I will be putting out a schedule of performances. Anyone is welcome to come watch these performances/recordings.
