I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Mr. Weaver and I very much miss all of you. We have a lot of things due this week as you will see on the list below. Please make sure you look over everything carefully! I plan to livestream tonight at 6pm on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel. I encourage you to join and watch as I will be going over all of this.
Makes sure you are aware of the UNIFORM RETURN for all members this Thursday and Friday. Any student not returning next year who has a school-owned instrument MUST return these during this time as well.
Winds - Audition music for the 2020-21 school year will be distributed on Monday. We will be utilizing FlipGrid for these auditions this year. You can go ahead and read over the procedures on our website here: http://www.miltonhighschoolband.com/mhs-band-audition-material.html
Percussion and guard audion information will be forthcoming.
There will be no Jazz Band entry auditions this year. Any student who can proficiently read and play a standard jazz instrument and have room in your schedule may sign up. We will hold part placement auditions when school begins in class in August. These instruments include, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Trumpet/Clarinet, Trombone/Euphonium, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar/Tuba, & Drum Set. Remember, jazz band does not take the place of one of the concert bands.
Finally, we still owe about $16,000 worth of bills for this year, most of which is for marching season. We must pay these before the end of the school year. At this point, all fair shares should be paid in full. Yes, we are sensitive to current circumstances, however, we also have to maintain the financial integrity of the MB&G. You can pay these online HERE or mail a check to the school address below. They are still accepting postal mail. Please take care of this ASAP. You can look at your statement on Charms and see how much you owe. If you need help accessing Charms, email me.
