I hope everyone's first week was extraordinary. Please read below for this week's events.
TD Fred - Keep an eye on the County Facebook page and media outlets for an announcement about possible school closures this week. The announcement should come out today (Sunday) after 5pm.
Rehearsal Tuesday - If we are able to have rehearsal on Tuesday, we will end at 9pm NOT 8:30.
Uniform Ordering Deadline - This Friday is the deadline to order uniform parts. Please CLICK HERE for ordering information.
Pep Rally at East Milton - This Friday we have been invited to perform at a pep rally at East Milton Elementary School. Call Time for this will be 7am at East Milton. I will have the band hall open at 6:30 to grab instruments. This is open to Leadership and anyone that can provide their own ride to and from the school. We will not be providing a bus, Please wear the band shirt NOT a random band shirt for this. We will be done by around 8:15am.
Kickoff Classic Game Friday - The kickoff classic game this Friday has been moved from Pine Forest HS to Milton. The kickoff time for this game is 7pm. Because this has been moved to home, we are going to try to have a volunteer pep band for the game. Monday, I will have the complete roster of the marching band posted. If you would like to perform on Friday, you will need to sign next to your name on that list. Call time is tentatively scheduled for 6pm. This game is not required and we do understand if you have planned events Friday night. Marching in, pregame, and halftime will depend on how many performers we have. We will wear this year's band shirt and blue jeans/blue jean shorts.
BPA Concessions - The BPA will need lots of help with concession sales at the game on Friday as well as the Mud Races on Saturday. Keep an eye out for a sign-up to be sent out through Charms. You can also look on the band calendar for the yellow helping hand symbol under the event.
Meat Sticking - This Thursday, we will have our first mass shish kabob meat sticking. This is required for all students. Parents who are school board approved are welcome to volunteer as well. We will begin around 1:30 then continue after school at 3:30-6pm. Parent volunteers can arrive at 3:30. We may get done early depending on the efficiency of everything.
