Hello All,
Welcome back to all....well, kinda. Students have one more week of summer before school begins. :-) We are looking forward to another school year full of possibilities! We do have a few items spread throughout this week and next. Please read through everything below carefully.
Marching Band Rehearsals - Marching band rehearsals start again this week. Just like with band camp, it is vital that all students are present for each and every rehearsal. We will begin adding drill on Tuesday. In general, all rehearsals are Tuesday 6pm-8:30 and Thursdays. The Thursday rehearsals will be 6pm-9pm until the 2nd week if school. After that, Thursdays will be 4pm-7pm. We will not have a rehearsal on the first day of school.
Open House/Rehearsal - Next Tuesday, MHS will host and open house 5:30pm-7pm. We have adjusted the rehearsal time to allow students to attend this. We encourage all students to attend the open house and meet your teachers along with figuring out your path to get to classes. We will have rehearsal 7:30pm-9pm that night. Please make sure you start wrapping everything up in time to be ready to go by then.
Chaperone Sign-ups for Games/Competitions - The chaperone sign-ups are now available for each game. Remember to MUST have attended one of the chaperone meeting AND be a school board approved volunteer to sign up. You can go to each game and click the yellow helping hand symbol to sign up. I will be adding a detailed itinerary for each game throughout planning week.
BPA Concessions Clean-up - 2023/2024 Marching season is here. To get us ready for our marching season and cooking our famous shish kabobs , next Sunday August 6th starting at 9 am till around 2 at our concessions at the football stadium, we are having a concession day cleanup/set up. It will consist of cleaning out concessions and storage and setting up all our tents and grills. Students can get volunteer hours for this day for bright future and other scholarships. It's going to be a great year so we hope you will plan on attending to help out. You can CLICK HERE to sign-up to help or just show up.
Meat Sticking - We will have our first mass shish kabob meat sticking on Monday, August 14th. Concert Band will kick it off at 1:30 immediately followed by Symphonic Band. All students will join after school along with any parents who would like to volunteer. We should be done by 6pm that night. This is required for all students. Parents are able to sign up to help as well on the calendar or by CLICKING HERE.
