Hello All,
Happy Labor Day weekend! I hope you have been able to relax and enjoy the weekend! There are just a few important details for this week.
First, now that wind and percussion uniforms have been distributed, it is very important that you try on the uniform. If there is anything that needs to be altered, you may bring it back in and we will have it fixed for you before Friday. Please do this BEFORE Friday!! We will not handle any uniform issues on Friday of the game. All uniform issues need to be taken care of by Thursday. We will be in full uniform for Friday night's game and every game/competition for the rest of the year. We are hoping to receive the colorguard uniforms this week.
Tuesday of this week will be a Helmet rehearsal. All returning members will need to bring their helmet to rehearsal with the box to get the tag for this year. All new students will get their helmets on Tuesday as well.
Percussion, our guest clinicians had a lot of good things to say about you and your rehearsal this past Saturday. I know A LOT was fixed. Thank you for being great students and following their direction. This Saturday you will have a wonderful opportunity to hear other percussion group from around the area as well as perform for those groups and be critiqued by some of the world's top percussionist in DCI and other organizations. This is at Escambia High School. We will transport our students on a bus with one equipment truck. If any parent is interested in chaperoning, please CLICK HERE to sign up. We also need a truck driver if anyone is interested. The itinerary for the day is below. Students will need to bring money for lunch at EHS concessions.
Mr. Weaver sent out the band trip info last week. I have created a page on our website where we will post all new information as we get it. I have already posted the trip information/intent form on that page along with attaching it to this email. CLICK HERE to go to the trip page. We will go over all of this in each band class this week.
