GREAT JOB to all at the Catholic game Friday night! Thank you to our wonderful parents for keeping our students healthy and hydrated throughout the night. Thank you to our awesome students for presenting another great performance. Thank you to everyone especially your patience in the bus issue. I was very proud of how everyone listened to instructions and did exactly as we asked. What a team we have! We received so many compliments for the halftime show as well as our spirit in the stands. Even the folks at Waffle House had great things to say about the behavior of the students that ate their later that night :-)
So looking at the calendar this week, you will notice that we DO NOT have the meat sticking scheduled anymore. Well, the effects of Irma are still being felt and the supplier where we get our meat is having difficulties with the shipping as it comes from South Florida. I never would have thought this storm that gave us such perfect weather in our area would effect us so much with everything.
Good news with the guard uniforms. Algy called us last week and said we should receive the uniforms by the 29th. They are working with partial power and only half the amount of employees due to damage sustained to their houses, but they are trying their hardest to get them to us. Still no word on Plumes.
This Friday we will be at Tate. Because of Irma Tate had to reschedule their Homecoming to this Friday. Their band director contacted us this week to let us know that the homecoming events will take up quite a bit of the halftime and gave us the option to perform before the game or post game. Because we have a pep rally that day and we will already be rushed to load the truck and everything, we have decided to perform at post game before Tate performs. Until further notice, we will perform after the game and then stay to watch Tate's show. If this changes, we will let you know ASAP. Kickoff is at 7pm Friday night. I want to wish good luck to the 4 students that will be auditioning at Pace HS for the All-State Honor Band this Saturday:
Garrett Allen
Adeline Belova
Luke Justice
Raywood Miller
The Blackwater Classic is less than 2 weeks away. There are still plenty of spots available for help. Just click the links below and sign up. Remember, this will only be as successful as the volunteers that help! We will have a BC volunteers meeting after rehearsal next Thursday the 28th.
