Hello All,
The MB&G Family is simply amazing!! You are all incredible people and I could not be more proud of all of you and so thankful for everything that you continue to do! Congratulations to all of our marching band students for earning superior ratings at the Pea River Classic and for earning the Spirit Award! Way to go band!
Here are all of the events so far this week:
Locker Decorating - The Facilities Officers will be judging lockers this Wednesday. All students are encouraged to join in the fun :-) The winner will be announced after the medallions ceremony on Thursday.
Rhodes Parade - This Thursday, the marching band will be participating in the annual Rhodes ES book character parade at Rhodes ES. Students will need to come to the band room at 11:45am, then we will walk to Rhodes and set up. We will be done in time for students to attend 3rd lunch at MHS. Please wear a band shirt and blue jeans/shorts for this parade.
Marching Rehearsals - We only have 2 remaining marching rehearsals for the football season. This Thursday 4pm-5pm and next Thursday 4pm-5pm. Even though these rehearsals are only an hour each, attendance is still required. Students who do not attend the rehearsals will not be allowed to attend the game that week.
Year Medallion Ceremony - Immediately after rehearsal this Thursday, we will hold the annual year medallion ceremony for all marching band members. This is a celebration of completing the competitive marching band season as well as making through another year of marching season. Parents are welcome to attend if you would like. We should be done by around 5:45.
Show Shirts - Halftime show shirt orders are still being accepted until this Friday. Remember, payment and orders must be received by Friday. Just CLICK HERE to place your order. We take cash or checks. No online payments at this time. Checks made payable to MHS Band.
William Carey University Performance - Next Tuesday, the Indoor marching ensemble from William Carey University will give a private performance just for all of our band students in the gym during 5th and 6th periods. We will talk more about this in classes.
