Concert Spooktacluar - THANK YOU ALL FOR AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE! Thank you to all who attended either in person or virtually! Thank you to the BPA for the wonderful candies for the students. Our students were an amazing shining light for our community this past Thursday and we could not be prouder of them! If you missed our performance, you can CLICK HERE and watch it on YouTube.
Homecoming Week - This is the next busiest week for the marching band. Please make sure you look closely at the schedules below and what to wear and when to be there. Luckily, this week isn't as busy as what it normally is, however, all performances and rehearsals are vital.
Volunteers Needed - Parents, there are several volunteer opportunities this week. We are in need of lots of help and support for the MB&G. Parade walkers, Football concession workers, Sweet Season Farms Sales, Band Chaperones, all of these are very important and needed this week. Please CLICK HERE to access our calendar and click on the yellow helping hand symbol to sign-up. Thank you in advance!
Dress-up Rehearsal/Medallion Ceremony - This Tuesday may be our last marching band rehearsal for football season depending on how the game goes this Friday and next Friday. Students are welcome to dress up in their favorite costume. Students must be able to play and march in these costumes. During this same time slot, we will hold the annual year medallion ceremony in which we celebrate the accomplishments of our students successfully completing another marching season. Parents are welcome to see the costumes and watch the ceremony. All will take place at the stadium.
Year medallions - I do want to make everyone aware that there was a shipping error from the manufacturer for the year medallions. They sent me the wrong number of non-senior medallions. The company said they will rectify the shipment free of charge and are sending more medallions. Unfortunately, this shipment will not arrive until next week or possibly the week after. After talking with some sophomore and junior students, we decided that we will move forward with the ceremony, especially since this may be our last rehearsal. First year marching students will receive their necklaces with medallions and 4th marching students will receive their medallions. 2nd and 3rd year marching students will receive a certificate that they will return to me once their medallions are delivered. The company was very apologetic when I spoke with them.
That is all for now. I hope everyone has a fantabulous week!
