Hello All,
WOW is all I can say about this weekend! The Mighty Black & Gold family really came together in an overwhelmingly positive way on Saturday at the 3rd annual Blackwater Classic. I have heard nothing but good things about the students, volunteers, the hospitality, and really the overall experience from everyone in attendance. We cannot express to you how proud we are thankful to all of our performers and volunteers for your part in making this another successful festival! If you missed the performance, you can watch it on our YouTube page. I gotta say, this was definitely the best performance of this show so far.
Looking ahead to the 2nd week of competition, we will be performing at Ft. Walton Beach this Saturday for the Florida Bandmasters Association Marching Music Performance Assessment. This is the most important performance of marching season! I have attached the full schedule for FBA and our itinerary is below. Tickets are $10-$12 at the gate. Parents, if you would like to chaperone for this, please CLICK HERE.
Please make sure you keep an eye on the tropics this week. There is a storm in the gulf that is looking like it will hit at or near our area. The district will make the call for classes on those days as needed so keep an eye on the news around this week.
