New Uniform Drive - There are only 10 days left in our uniform drive and we still have $16,674 left to go to reach our goal. I am begging all of you to send this link out to EVERYONE you know. Friends of Friends, business owners, doctors, uncles, aunts, grandparents, Morgan Freeman, basically ANYONE you can think of. Please help us get our students into these new uniforms!

RADA - The RADA Cutlery fundraiser is due on Wednesday of this week. Remember, this one is for individual accounts band/indoor/trip accounts. Make sure all order forms are accurately tallied up and the correct amount has been collected. Remember to add the appropriate tax and $2 handling fee to each order. Money is due with the order forms on Wednesday.
FBA Season - Welcome to the FBA Spring season! Over the next few weeks, there will be different FBA events taking place. These events are Solo & Ensemble MPA this Saturday, Jazz MPA on the 17th, and Concert MPA on the 2nd-4th of March. We will have itineraries ready for each as we receive the schedules. These dates are the most important dates for the spring semester for winds and percussion and jazz. All of these performances are FREE and we encourage audience attendance and support to each.
FBA Solo & Ensemble - This will be at Escambia HS on Saturday. We are still waiting to receive the schedules from the FBA District Chair. Hopefully he will send this out on Monday.
FBA Jazz MPA - This will take place next Friday, February 17th at the auditorium at Pensacola State College. Our performance is at 5pm. We will bus over there at 1pm to watch and support the other school performances. After all performances are done, we will indeed stick with tradition and head to Steak N Shake :-) We should be back at MHS around 9pmish.
Mock MPA/Preview Concert - We will be hosting a this concert on Friday, February 24th in the auditorium. This is a free concert open to the public. So far, Avalon MS will perform along with MHS Concert and Symphonic bands. We will have a couple guest directors giving each band feedback as well. Please make plans to join us that night. The performances will begin at 6pm.
Indoor Competitions - This Saturday marks the first of the indoor competitions for the Black Gold Percussion Ensemble and MHS Winterguard. The performance times are below. This will be hosted at Robertsdale HS in Alabama. Tickets are sold at the door. Ms. Byrd and Chandler will be developing the itineraries for each group. Please get in touch with them for all questions about each competition day.
Band Trip Bus Sign-ups - We will sign up for busses for the band trip this week. We will do this by senority. Seniors/Leadership on Tuesday, Juniors on Wednesday, Sophomores on Thursday, and Freshmen on Friday.
Spring Semester Sports Pep Rally - Just an fyi to all, there will be a pep rally on Wednesday, February 15th. The Marching Band will be involved with this :-)
