Well I hope everyone had a relaxing and fun-filled Spring Break!! I can wait to hear all the stories of the happenings over the break.
We are beginning the home stretch to the end of the year.....Can you believe that! It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming our new members and getting the show together at Band Camp. Before we close out the year however, there are many events going on between now and June. I will try to keep you updated each week to these but you can also view them all on the Charms Calendar.
This Week:
Monday (Teacher Planning Day) - Indoor Percussion Rehearsal 6pm - 9pm
- Patrick Greene and Joseph Herring will be participating in the FBA State Solo & Ensemble competition at Buchholz High School in Gainseville, FL. Both of these gentlemen achieved superior ratings at the district level and were eligible to enter the state competition. We wish the guys the best of luck at this prestigious venue!
Tuesday - $100 trip payment due. This is the Third trip payment to date. You should have paid a total of $275 up to this point.
- Winterguard Rehearsal 4pm - 7:30pm
- The MHS Jazz Band and Hobbs Jazz Band will be hosting a Spy night/ Spaghetti Dinner at 6pm at the Hobbs Middle School Cafeteria. Tickets for this event are on sale for $10. We will also be selling these at the door. Come out and listen to your favorite Spy music and enjoy a good dinner!
Wednesday - Concert Band Brass Scale Pass-offs - 3:30 - 5pm. F, Bb, Eb, Ab Scales
Thursday - Concert Band Woodwind Scale Pass-offs - 3:30 - 5pm. F, Bb, Eb, Ab Scales
- Winterguard rehearsal - 4pm - 7:30pm
- Indoor Percussion Rehearsal - 6pm - 9pm
- Both indoor groups will be putting on a preview to championships performance in the gym at 7:30pm. All are welcome to attend this FREE event.
Friday - ALL UNIFORMS MUST BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL INCLUDING COLORGUARD!! Colorguard needs to bring their marching season uniform only. Also, ALL MARCHING INSTRUMENTS NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL!!
Saturday - GCGPC Circuit Championships at Tate High School. This is the final competition for out indoor groups. Please come out and support both of them as they close out the indoor season.
Percussion performs at 2:40pm
Winterguard performs at 8:12pm
