Hello All,
I would like to congratulate our Blackwater Beats Jazz Band, Black Gold Percussion Ensemble, and Winterguard for 3 outstanding performances this weekend! The Jazz band performed at the FBA Jazz MPA at PSC Friday night walking away with straight excellents across the board. The percussion and winterguard both performed at the Pace indoor competition with the percussion ranking first in the class and the winterguard ranking 3rd. We are all very proud of all of these wonderful students!
We are working on the itinerary for the symphonic, concert, and panther bands for MPA next Thursday. We are planning to take panther band students so they can listen and experience MPA as well. Here is a tentative itinerary for Thursday, March 5th:
1pm or 1:30 - Depart for FWBHS
2:30 - Arrive FWBHS
3pm - Concert Band Warm-up
3:30 - Concert Band Performance
4pm-6pm - Dinner at Uptown Station
7:15 - Symphonic Band Warm-up
7:45 - Symphonic Band Performance
9:15 - Depart for MHS
10pm - Arrive/Unload MHS
Please be aware that the trip is only 2.5 weeks away. We have some upcoming trip meetings on the calendar below. We also kicked off the the 9/11 project this past week. This is required by all student participants and is encouraged by all others. Info about this can be found by CLICKING HERE
Finally, the Beats & Eats Festival is quickly approaching . We are gathering vendor applications as we speak. We need your help. I have attached the vendor application for you to hand out.
